To get started at Refuge Jiu Jitsu, simply visit our academy, website or call us directly and inquire about our introductory classes or beginner programs. We’ll guide you through the enrollment process, including signing up for your first class. No prior experience is needed, and we welcome all skill levels.

For your first class, wear comfortable athletic clothing like a t-shirt and shorts or leggings. If you have a Jiu Jitsu gi (uniform), please bring it. If not, no worries – we can provide one for you. Also, bring a water bottle and a positive attitude ready to learn and have fun.

Refuge Jiu Jitsu is open to practitioners starting from 5 and up. We offer specialized classes for children, teens, and adults, ensuring that our training programs cater to all age groups and skill levels.

At Refuge Jiu Jitsu, we prioritize creating a supportive and inclusive community. Our experienced instructors are not only skilled in Jiu Jitsu but also dedicated to helping you achieve your goals, whether it’s self-defense, fitness, or competition. We focus on empowerment, respect, and personal growth in a welcoming environment.

No, competing is entirely optional. While we support those who want to compete, we understand that not everyone shares the same goals. Refuge Jiu Jitsu offers a well-rounded training experience, and you can choose the path that aligns with your personal objectives, whether it’s mastering self-defense, improving fitness, or stepping onto the competition mats.
